My goal is to create a fresh and honest sound of our generation, to keep jazz cool and at the same time to push jazz forward. Because everything is always changing, my goal is to keep jazz as an art form that is still alive. As a result, jazz is in a continuous state of innovation and development. I want to grow as an instrumentalist and also as an improviser, but the main goal to me is to create my own voice as a composer.

• 1st Prize at the festival Jazz By The Oder (JnO). Krzysztof Urbański was proclaimed Jazz Personality of the Year.

• 1st Prize in International Competition of Jazz Soloists Jazz Challenges where the jury consisted of such acknowledged personalities as, Billy Harper, Clarence Seay, and Steve Turre.

• 1st Prize - Top Audience Choice Award in International Competition of Jazz Soloists Jazz Challenges 

• 1st Prize for Krzysztof’s Quartet at International Jazz Juniors  Competition in Cracow/  2007  

• 1st Prize - The Best Instrumentalist of the Competition Award at International Jazz Juniors Competition in Cracow 2007 

• 1st Prize at The Polish Review of Jazz Bands in Gdynia / 2007

    Other prizes :

• In January 2016 Krzysztof received  the scholarship from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland

• In April 2009 Krzysztof Urbański and his Quartet received the TVP Culture Award from the national broadcaster

• In March 2009 Krzysztof received press prize by winning the  wARTo Music Award from  Gazeta Wyborcza

• In January 2009 Krzysztof Urbański won the scholarship from Department of Culture "Young Poland" 

• In September 2009 Krzysztof received the scholarship from the City of Wroclaw

In 2010 Krzysztof recorded his debut album named simply “Urbanski” which was very well received by the critics. This album was sold in the number of 15.000 CDs in whole Europe and the United States.
